THE RIGHT MEDIA FOR EVERY JOB
At VKF Renzel, we know that an important part of a print piece is the material that it’s printed on.
That’s why, whether your sign is going to be displayed outdoors or indoors, in a standard sign holder or an LED frame,
we carry a wide range of media that meets your specific needs.
Poster Paper
Our 3686 TriSolv™ poster paper is a premium bright white paper with a 8 mil thickness and a semi gloss finish. It is durable, scratch resistant, and compatible with a wide range of sign holders, including our Aluminum Snap Frames, Plastic Poster Sleeves, and A-Frame Sandwich Boards.
Sintra PVC Board
Sintra® PVC board features a bright white surface and a .12" thickness. It is lightweight but durable. Its thick, rigid construction makes it ideal for signs that need more support or for sign holders with slots that accept thicker media, including our aluminum Pump Topper.
Translucent Film
Matte Backlit Film (MBF) is a translucent polyester film with a thickness of 8 mil. It has an anti-glare matte finish that is perfect for backlit or frontlit displays, including our LED Snap Frame.
Banner Material
Our 12 oz. banner material can be printed single or double-sided. It features a blockout opacity that keeps light from coming through. It is ideal for both banner stands like our Banner Display Easy and poster hangers like our Poster Rail Secure.
Buy Your Sign Holders and Prints Together
Many of our sign holders now include the option to buy a custom poster with them. Simply add the print to your sign holder purchase and upload your design.
You can also buy multiple prints or multiple copies of the same print. We’re making it easy to purchase everything you need for your retail displays!
TIPS FOR THE PERFECT PRINT
Once you order your print, you will be prompted to upload your art.
Here are our Custom Print Specifications:
File Formats
• We accept files created by Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat)
• Our preferred format is .pdf, but we also accept .ai, .jpg, and .tif
NOTE: Microsoft Office programs like Word or PowerPoint are not intended for print design.
Resolution
Files created at 1:1 ratio (100% of print size) : 72 dpi minimum, ideal is 120-300 dpi
at 1:2 (50% of print size) : 240 dpi
at 1:4 (25% of print size) : 480 dpi
at 1:10 (10% of print size) : 1,200 dpi
Artwork
Embed all images and flatten all layers. All placed art should have a minimum dpi of 72 dpi, ideally 120-300 dpi when placed at 100%
Fonts
All fonts must be converted to outlines. Small white print should be knocked out.
Trimming
Bleed
For full bleed art, add .125” to the outside of the document on each side. Ensure that your image covers the bleed area, but that no important information is outside the work area (in the bleed), as this could be cut off and impact your graphics once printed.
Contour Cut
If art is designed with a custom contour cut, the cutline should be provided on a separate layer.
Color Format
Provide art in CMYK format, not RGB. Indicate any PMS custom colors.
Process Black
Process (rich) black can be created with a mix of C50 M50 Y50 K100
NOTE: due to variations on output and viewing devices, we can not guarantee a 100% color match. Variations in monitors, printers and other factors can play a large role in how colors are perceived.
